ForwardKeys and Kiwi.com partner to help tourism organizations beyond the crisis

June 09, 2021

9 June 2021 – As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work. In line with this mantra, travel data firm ForwardKeys has signed a new partnership with Kiwi.com, the leading travel technology company, that processes around 100 million flight searches per day.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the entire travel industry and made it clear that businesses need accurate data to understand the rapidly changing and volatile travel market. Hence, the strength of this newly formed partnership fuses the might of ForwardKeys’ comprehensive air ticketing data and knowledge of the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) sector with Kiwi.com’s flight searches.

“Our Global Search Dataset represents a daily refresh of global demand for travel – allowing our partners and customers to quantify and analyze demand from and to their destination. What this means for DMOs is an eagle-eye view of the current travel intent by region or country to their destination. As we cover more than 95% of travel content worldwide, DMOs are getting extensive information about the different parts of the world their customers are coming from,” says Wouter Veenstra, Data Product Manager at Kiwi.com.

“With our new long-term cooperation in place, Kiwi.com’s global search dataset will fuel our new Destination Gateway product into a new dimension, allowing tourism organizations to finally quantify demand and intent,” says Laurens Van Den Oever, Chief Commercial Officer at ForwardKeys.

“They can now measure their performance, flight connectivity, plan their marketing campaigns based on travel preferences and intent of different source markets, and understand the travel recovery to their destination,” adds Van Den Oever.

Founded in 2010, ForwardKeys has pioneered the way forward for tourism organizations, and travel retailers keen to understand who is traveling where, when, and for how long, and have built specific data analytics tools to keep your finger on the pulse of the market.

Van Den Oever summed up, “With hundreds of clients around the world from travel retailers to destinations, this partnership with Kiwi.com will greatly advance the way tourism organizations plan their destination strategies and marketing campaigns during a pandemic and afterward too.”
