Switzerland emerges as a trending destination in 2024

Kiwi.com so far sees almost 30% more passengers traveling to Switzerland
Prague, Czech Republic – Kiwi.com data* reveals an increase in travel interest to Switzerland, with bookings growing by 20.7% in 2024 compared to 2023, and the number of passengers rising by 28.4%. At the same time, prices so far this year are on average 16.8% cheaper than last year.
The destination airport most booked is Geneva, followed by Basel and Zürich airports. The most booked routes into Geneva are currently from Prague, London and Barcelona, whilst into Basel, Kiwi.com sees popularity with travelers departing from Budapest and Warsaw.

Kiwi.com booking data shows French, Romanian, German, Spanish, and Polish as the top nationalities booking flights to Switzerland. The booking window (the period of time in advance one buys their tickets) has expanded by six days in 2024 – 35 days in comparison to 29 days in 2023, while travelers booking return trips plan to stay in Switzerland, on average, 5 days.
