Football fans are on fire to see final of UEFA Europa League live
9 May 2022 – Kiwi.com, a travel-tech company, saw a huge increase in bookings made from the UK and Scotland after Scottish Rangers got in the finals with Eintracht Frankfurt at 2022 UEFA Europa League. The bookings to visit Seville, where the final match will take place on 18 May 2022, and surrounding Spanish cities jumped 1000% comparing to days before the match right after the semi-final games took place on 5 May.
The most popular routes booked on Kiwi.com by football fans are Edinburgh – Seville, London – Málaga, London – Seville, Edinburgh – Málaga, and Manchester – Málaga. German fans plan to see the match in person as well, however make only a third of British and Scottish fans. Germans will arrive to Seville from mainly Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, and Cologne.
However, not only Brits and German plan to visit the match. Also Spanish, Czech, Italian, French, or Polish booked their trips to cities like Seville, Malaga, Alicante, or Madrid to see the UEFA Europa League for themselves. Every second European fan booked the tickets right after the semi-final on 5 May (1-2 weeks in advance), most of them travel alone (49.0%) while only 31.7% travel in pairs. 4 out of 5 European fans plan to watch the match and come back home with return in less than 3 days.
