Kiwi.com powers KAYAK with the Nomad feature

January 21, 2020

KAYAK is launching “Trip Builder” that finds the cheapest routes between cities

PRAGUE, 21 January 2019 – Kiwi.com started a cooperation with the world’s leading travel search engine, KAYAK, that is testing a new product feature to make the planning of the next multi-city trip even more effortless. “Trip Builder” uses Kiwi.com’s Nomad feature algorithm and is designed for anyone traveling to more than one destination.

The new feature calculates the cheapest routes between multiple cities for the most significant savings. Now, travelers considering a trip from New York to London, with stops in Dublin, Rome, and Paris can easily price out the most cost-effective way to get from one city to the next, in a simple search powered by Nomad.

The idea of Nomad was born after Kiwi.com introduced the option of MultiCity travel on its website – a tool that helps you visit multiple destinations. The innovative company didn’t want to stop there and decided to go further, removing the hassle of checking different combinations, comparing destinations, dates, prices and finding the best and cheapest route.

This is done in seconds by Nomad. All you have to do is enter your dream destinations and the duration you want to spend in each of them, and let Nomad shuffle the possible combinations and provide you with the best one.

Zdenek Komenda, CBDO at Kiwi.com, said: “KAYAK is constantly looking to help travelers find the perfect flight by offering the best products for the best value. We are happy that we were able to provide this feature to match the growing demand from travelers.”

“Building a travel itinerary that involves more than one destination can be challenging, time-consuming and costly,” shared Giorgos Zacharia, CTO at KAYAK.

“To help travelers visiting more than one city find the perfect route, KAYAK introduced multi-city search options back in 2005. Now, with the introduction of “Trip Builder,” we will not only show you the perfect route but also the cheapest, so you can see more of the world for less.”
